October marks the Beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

BBN - October Breast Awareness MonthOctober marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 264,000 women and 2,400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women. Screening mammograms can be used to check for breast cancer in women that have no signs or symptoms.
